Elen Feinberg has exhibited her work throughout the US and Europe for more than three decades. Her paintings are included in the collections of numerous museums, including the LA County Museum of Art, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Louisiana Museum of Science and Art in Baton Rouge. Feinberg’s work has been purchased for the corporate collections of Standard & Poors, IBM, Skadden Arps, HarperCollins, Morgan Guarantee Trust, and others. Feinberg holds awards in painting from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fulbright Foundation, and the Ingram Merrill Foundation, among others. She has been the recipient of artist-in-residence grants from the MacDowell Colony, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, The Montalvo Center for the Arts, the Roswell Museum and Art Center, and the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences. She has held fellowships abroad in Austria, Hungary and the Republic of Malta.

Feinberg was born in New York City.  She received her BFA from Cornell University (Class Marshall, Faculty Medal of Art) and her MFA from Indiana University.  She retired from a distinguished teaching career at the University of New Mexico in 2011, and now paints full-time in her studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
